I had a wonderful lunch with my girlfriends who, it turns out, have also gained a few pounds. We laughed and laughed about the foolish things we have done including, of course, all the men I had married. I have all the papers drawn up for my big deal and hope to get them signed on Tuesday after which I will draw an easy breath. At this point there is nothing more I can do, it is up to the universe. I am at peace. Out of the blue I learned I am to receive a very special award in Europe this summer. The event is about three days and I will stay for a week or two. There was a time in my life when I would have taken one rather large suitcase just filled with shoes and at least three other good sizes one for clothes. Now there is a limit to one carry on and one piece for check in. Well, I have plenty of time to figure this out. |

The luggage limit sure does change things
 My wardrobe became scaled down and mostly one color when traveling was a massive part of my life. Try as I may to bring color into it beyond an accessory here & there, I'm still falling short....even though traveling is a rare occurrence these days, lol. It IS amazing what one can pull off though with a scaled down wardrobe and a few key accessories. Totally confident you'll win this round too  super congrats on the award, and for persevering through this all

My plan exactly. I am doing beige with shades going to ivory. Plus some whites. and a few pieces of black and navy. It should all work together. Color will come from a few accessories etc. and that will only be tiny bits. I have somewhat dramatic coloring so I am very comfortable in a monochromatic neutral color. My meeting tomorrow has been changed to Thursday. I am keeping busy, catching up on things. It occurred to me, a Plan B might not be a bad idea to figure out. This is sort of like dating. I may have become over invested with this one project when I should be multi-dating or rather multi-projecting. I do have this feeling of calm. |
