MB, a few suggestions along the same lines as journey girl. I would ditch the first two paragraphs of what you are looking for.
You might start off with "Looking for someone who can keep up with me or slow me down"...something catchy. Dive into stuff like "Family and friends are important to me" as is the outdoors. I have a small (or large) family that lives withint an hour affording me lots of time to spend with nieces and nephews. I spend a lot of recreational time outdoors yet still find time to belong to a book club. My last season of skiing I (then fill in the blanks). Most recently I (fill in the blanks). Try not to be repetive in the "categories". Find something different to reveal about yourself, and it doesn't hurt to be specific about places you go to. Do you go to movies by yourself or would you rather have a friend along. Same thing with the things you describe as "fun things". What do you do alone, what would you like to do with others. I think this one regarding the bookclub - "like to think it makes me seem more intelligent then I really am...not sure if it's working" might show your humor if you used similar humor in the rest of your profile. Because it comes at the end, it almost sounds like you are putting yourself down, and that may be a turnoff for someone looking for someone who feels pretty secure about who the are. I would probably just describe your diversity in things in the general profile section. |

One thing I do periodically is go to my who viewed me page and sort them by activity. Then I view the profiles of every M who has viewed my page that seems interesting to me who has been active in the last three days. You would be amazed at how many goodlooking Ms view your profile again. I have even gotten a few winks and messages that way. Overall, I think I have done as well or better with dates I've found IRL...but OLD keeps me entertained at night. I keep repeating over and over to myself...dating is supposed to be FUN, dating is supposed to be FUN! CD -------------------- Warm Wishes!
